TAKING CARE ABOUT A CAREER?
The School of Professional Care offers high quality training for the Health Care, Community Care, Early Years, Childcare and Education Sectors.
A range of training courses designed to equip professional carers with the practical skills that are required to work in a variety of care settings. Visiting speakers, practical workshops, work experience in the local community, lectures and visits - all form part of the enriching experience.
Child Care and Education / Health Care / Social Care qualifications can open up a wide variety of career opportunities e.g. routes to qualified teaching, nursing, midwifery, health visiting, child psychology, clinical skills assistants, social work, occupational therapy and paramedic services.
In 2007, 33% of students went into work and 59% progressed to Higher Level Studies.
