Established in 1991, it provides full training as well as real performance experience in its 180 seater auditorium, studio theatre, three dance studios, and two recording studios – so you put into practice what you have
learned.
The Theatre helps you take that first big step into a career in the Arts, specialising in:
- Acting/Physical Theatre
- Dance
- Theatre Design
- Stage Management and Technical Theatre
- Music Technology
- Music Performance
The Theatre also offers specialist Higher Education courses. All apprentices are offered the unique opportunity to be part of a professional production company and work alongside professionals from Theatre, Music and Dance.
The School has received four top grades from Inspectors for “outstanding provision”. It is one of only a handful of schools in England to have received such a prestigious award. The Miskin Theatre is OFSTED’s “National Point of Reference” for Performing Arts.
The Miskin Theatre provides the perfect transition from secondary education to Drama Schools and University Arts courses. By preparing its apprentices both academically and through its unique hands-on experience, ex-Miskin Company members have advanced through to all the major academies in the country, including RADA, Bristol Old Vic, Central School of Speech and Drama, LAMDA, Manchester MET, Guildhall, Rose Bruford, Mountview, The Guitar Institute, Westminster,
