The School of ‘A’ Level Studies offers ‘AS’ (Advanced Subsidiary) and ‘A2’ Levels, The College has first-rate facilities and an environment dedicated to students achieving their potential.

‘A’ LEVELS

The two-year ‘A’ Level course attracts students from local schools and surrounding areas.

The first year leads to ‘AS’ qualifications. On successful completion of their first year, students normally progress to ‘A2’. Students who have successfully completed ‘AS’ in other schools or colleges are welcome to join ‘A2’.

All of the subjects on the full-time course are taught during the day or early evening.

‘AS’/’A2’ subjects:

Business Studies,
English Literature, English Lit/Lang,
Film Studies Media Studies,
Psychology, Sociology.

FULL-TIME COURSE

1st Year – 3-4 ‘AS’ subjects + Key Skills + Enrichment and Tutorial Support.

2nd Year – 3 ‘A2’ subjects + Key Skills + Enrichment and Tutorial Support.

In 2007, 87% of ‘AS’ Students continued their Level 3 course and 17% went into employment. 62% of ‘A2’ Students took up Higher Education places and 28% went into employment.

Full-time students have the opportunity to take part in the College enrichment course.
