WHAT ARE YOU ENGINEERING?
The School of Engineering aims to work with those interested in developing a career in Engineering by providing high quality Engineering education and training.
Engineering is about designing, making, operating, repairing and maintaining all types of items – the radio that wakes you up in the morning, the electric kettle that makes your tea, or the bus that you use.
The School offers learning courses in three divisions of engineering – Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Automotive Engineering.
The workshops, laboratories and classrooms are equipped to industry standards, and the teaching and support staff have appropriate industrial backgrounds to augment their academic standing.
The courses offered cover the full range of levels from Entry Level (E) to Foundation Degree Level 5 (See page 5 for an explanation of these levels). It is possible to start learning with little or no previous qualifications and to gain a Foundation Degree in Engineering at the Gravesend campus.
The School of Engineering has been inspected by OFSTED and awarded a Grade 2 – Good (one of the highest grades in the South East of England).
