LAYING THE FOUNDATION FOR
YOUR FUTURE
The School of Foundation Studies offers discrete courses for students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
Courses are offered on the Gravesend and Dartford campuses. Students can access both full-time and part-time provision, from pre-entry to pre NVQ Level 1 courses.
Students have an opportunity to achieve a range of accredited qualifications at an appropriate level in a range of subjects including Literacy, Numeracy, IT, Life Skills and Young Enterprise (team course). Individual Learning programmes ensure appropiate levels of work for each student.
In 2007, 81% of students on Specialist Foundation Studies courses progressed to higher level study, and 7% went directly into employment within three months of completing their course.
